It is my understanding that the Engineer of record must also witness and sign off on final testing of systems - is this correct David?

We use the National Building Code of Canada, which is a model code that each province adopts, though with modifications. For sprinkler design, the NBC refers to NFPA standards (13, 13R, 13D, 30, etc.) but it also introduces certain requirements that are different than those of NFPA. David Bitton, ing.
