1985 they were allowed 5-2 at least not specifically disallowed.
1987 edition they were not allowed. 5-2.3.1 "...Gridded dry-pipe systems shall
not be installed."

Subject: Gridded dry system

All,
I have come upon a gridded dry system fed by a fire pump that was installed in
1985.
I was sure that these are not legal, but could they have been in 1985 ?
Any help would be appreciated,
Steve
