One should realize what happens when a continuous deluge of water, ie fire sprinkler flow, encounters a piping group or an electrical conduit group, especially level piping groups. The water flows on the piping surface and then drops off the pipe at the pipe’s bottom. What hits the top drops off the bottom. Continuous water streams will still be raining on whatever is directly underneath the piping, but not in a random distribution. Ask any on site challenger to think about if they would get soaked while standing underneath the piping group.
