Well at least it looks like it isn't too off topic.

I'm trying to figure out the correct entrys for Apache 1.3.x so a 
virtualhost will/can use mod_ssl when I connect.  I can't afford a 
Verisign signed certificate so I'm trying to do a self signed one.

Creating the certificate isn't difficult but getting the correct entrys in 
the apache config file(s) are killing me.  Probably my books are too old - 
if 1999 can be considered old.

I was hoping someone might have done this already and would be willing    
to share the process they used.  Or if you know of a good resource on the 
web for doing this.  Apache.org and searches using google don't turn up 
anything really useful.  Most of the non-apache things are repeats of 
apache documentation which isn't the clearest stuff around you know. *-|
