I am very excited about the potential of SQL-ledger and look forward to
replacing existing acctg packages. As an accountant familiar with several
U.S. accounting packages - I wanted to throw out some general comments.
While I am still new to the program - I was surprised how poor the general
ledger report is. That is our bible - and it is really a meaningless
report. The general ledger is supposed to report transactions grouped by
account not grouped by transaction source or date.
Also, the program needs a cash disbursement and cash receipt journal to
enter transactions not tied to a/p and a/r.
We will continue to use it and look forward to continually improvements..
