We might call it for certain cases when we're building a report/data screen. But 95% of the time we just want normal objects. >slice calls instances() yes. Thanks, I'll keep instances() in mind as a possible workaround. Currently we are just encapsulating the TurboGears @paginate decorator. This is not as generic but works reasonable well.
