Let me recommend SQL For Smarties as an excellent starting point. The book is perfectly suitable for beginners, but can take you all the way to very advanced topics. Probably one of the best computer books I have purchased. This isn't an SQLite specific book, by the way. It's fairly generic, so what you learn here will work elsewhere.
