This requirement for host authentication and for encryption of music
streams within a LAN is laughable. 
Anyways,
The OP could shove the whole thing in a VLAN and more or less be done
with it.
And/or could use a VPN to tunnel the connexion. OpenVPN works fine on
pCP as far as I know.
