Sorry I've no idea on the LMS error but have you checked if the network is OK otherwise between your server and any other machines during playback issues? Any errors in the Event Log? netstat -s? You could try the iperf utility beween server and client machines to stress test the LAN.
It could be a storage issue too - try chkdsk /f on any drives that are in use. Also compare Task Mgr when it is working adn not.
