Im probably wrong, but I am reading it differently. To me it seems like LMS doesn't start because it can't find it's prefs or cache. By default it's on the pCP boot disk, but if it (the location) got moved to the HDD, and it isn't there, that would cause LMS not to start. @muggo, the last I recall was you had LMS running on pCP, and you mounted your HDD, got samba setup, and could see it through a network location in windows. Then you started scanning, what happened then?
