I have the free Pandora subscripton running on my iPod Touch. There are no ads at all. Just great artwork of album covers for each song that plays. There is a small button on the bottom of the screen that I can manually press if I want, to popup a window that allows me to "Buy from iTunes".
Looks like Slim Devices may want to explore similar partnerships.
