fun debate mr. sinatra. I'm not saying that we should simply exempt NPR and PBS from their lack of fiscal responsibility but I am advocating that there are larger drains on the taxpayers and perhaps our attention should be placed on more pressing matters first.
One very dangerous aspect of what you're pushing is the notion of letting the marketplace dictate what programs make it to our little music boxes and tv's. You say Rush Limbaugh is admirable because he makes lots of money for himself, his radio network and all the while not taking a dollar from the taxpayers. that's all true. But what do we the public receive? that's a matter of personal preference of course. I think you can debate whether someone like Rush raises the bar on public discourse. and it speaks to what we as a nation feel is important in our culture.
