Hey, you can piss and moan and throw a tantrum like a five year old
who's been told he can't have more ice cream or you can be proactive to
insure the success of you holiday party. Some of the loudest complainers
have been here for some time and the connectivity issues with MySB.com
are well documented, sometimes the fault of Logitech, other times caused
by an ISP, user error or other problem beyond the control of the
provider. If I'm planning a party and the only source of music is the
internet, I'm going to make damn sure I've done everything possible to
address any contingencies. Yes, it would be wonderful if every
application and every network and every user terminal had 100%
availability but that is not realistic, even in mission critical
business environments. When you consider all the potential components
that could fail, to not do everything within your power to ensure
success is rather shortsighted, and I'm being diplomatic. So your
favorites are not replicated, that's just a red herring. If you really
wanted to circumvent the problem, you could do so easily. But I suspect
that bellyaching is much more personally satisfying for you.
