I just rang logitech support UK (0800 085 74 99). They say it's a known issue with Squeezebox Radio and Squeezebox Duet (like you said, the new SqueezeOS). No timeframe on fix, bit they hope to role our a new firmware to fix the issue. Nothing that I couldn't find out from the sticky.
I left them my squeezebox details and they said that they'd ring me or email me once a fix is available.
