Well, you can set your own new MAC from the SB3 menu and hopefully you
find one which is not already used with mysb.com.

I think that's the main problem: anybody can change the MAC-Adress of
its SB3 and it magically connects to mysb.com with an account of
another user - WITHOUT entering any password. Been there, done that...

Before you ask: I was changing the MAC because it was set to
01:00:xx:... which is a Group-Adress not supported by my router (don't
know if that was the original address, i bought it used).
