Well, having to ignore the update message is tedious, but if it really
solves problems, why not.
Is it possible to do that if my Touch has the firmware of the former
7.5.2 ?
I do not want to mess why beta version, I know what it means, and agree
with posters above about using 7.5.4

I beg to disagree.
I think that customer advice is always helpful.

I am only asking if anybody has a rough idea of 7.5.4 official release
I don't demand that Logitech revert mysqueezebox.com to 7.5.2
I say that I would vote for that.
If Logitech ask, and if most customers prefer sticking with 7.5.3, I'd
easily accept it.
The problem is that 7.5.3 is really problematic for a lot of people.
Just look at slimdevices forums as well as Logitech official forums.

The problem is that when you connect to mysqueezebox.com, you are stuck
with 7.5.3
Or have to mess with ignoring update messages, and I am not yet sure
that you can do that if you have a 7.5.2 firmware.
For me, and for a normal user, beta 7.5.4 is not an option.

I am in the business of software develoment, and have to care if
products are ready to be released to hundreds of non technical nor geek
customers.
Messing with computers, beta bersions, caring about software releasing
etc ..., is my job, not my hobby.
I could probably dive in squeezebox server code, probably develop a lot
myself, but this is not my hobby nor my job.
I just paid 300 euros for a device, and want it to function without too
many troubles.
How many Logitech customers were impacted by mysqueezebox.com 7.5.3
upgrade ?
Hundreds ? thousands ? more ?
If I were responsible for Squeebox Server development and versions
release, I would certainly consider reverting official version to 7.5.
May be not decide to do that, but surely consider to do that, if 7.5.4
cannot be released within short time.
That's due to everything I read about 7.5.3 as well as what I
experience with it.

I had great hopes about Touch embedded server, and was quite unhappy
with it, and finally decide to forget about that feature and not loose
time with it.
This is not a big problem, because it was only a plus, and in every
other aspect, Touch is better than Classic (except the regression of
not being able to fix volume at 100%)
But with mysqueezebox.com, you deal with one of the key feature of the
product, and that is no longer the same story.
Squeezeboxes are now widely sold to non technical users, and software
developers team cannot continue to work in the same state of mind they
had a few years ago.

Hope this helps
