The question in this thread is not really to list the problems I have.
I've been using 7.5.3 since it is official, I've been using
squeezeboxes for several years.
I am quite experienced in computers and software development.
I posted some (not all) of the problems I have with 7.5.3 in other
threads.
I explained that in the first hours using 7.5.3, it was so problematic
that I was about to revert immediatly to 7.5.2
I decided to wait, just in case 7.5.3 were not guilty.
If you are really interested, all my problems are very probably related
to connection problems specific to 7.5.3, problems found by many others,
so I don't feel like loosing my time explaining them again.

I was fine with 7.5.2
Other people seem to get rid of 7.5.3 problems when they try 7.5.4
I don't want use 7.5.4, not before it is official, and don't feel like
arguing about it.

In the end, with the problems I have, and the problems others have
(just search forums about 7.5.3 problems), I decided, as far as I am
concerned, that 7.5.3 is a failure for me, and I would like to get rid
of it as soon as possible.

With 7.5.3, I am in the same state of mind than with Touch embedded
slimserver.
I tried to use it flawlessly for weeks with 2.5" usb drive, sometimes
successfully.
But after some time, you see it is not reliable for you, you don't feel
like keeping explaining what's wrong, and you just decide not to loose
time with it, and basta.

By the way, I sometimes used embedded slimserver with a 8G USB stick
while I had 7.5.2, and that was ok.
I just tried with 7.5.3, it doesn't work anymore for me.
Same usb stick, same music on it ... tried to erase everything but a
few flac files and restart from scratch, no music file found ...
And no, I won't try to understand why before I revert to 7.5.2, or get
an official 7.5.4

Thanks, I now just have to decide if I wait a few weeks more, or revert
to 7.5.2 and handle the "ignore update" thing on mysqueezebox.com
I apologize if all this appears as only criticism.
I don't mean that.
The Touch is a great product, but sometimes, as a customer, you really
feel like you have to struggle with it.
I really think that serious efforts are needed to release less
problematic version of squeezebox server, even if that means dropping
some hype or funny functionalities.
