http://blog.logitech.com/2012/09/28/an-open-letter-to-squeezebox-fans http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Squeezebox-Players/Logitech-UE-Smart-Radio/td-p/884530 At this time, there are no plans to stop maintaining mysqueezebox.com or the local server. We will likely get less bug corrections, but as long as Logitech are having a lot or Radio's within warranty period they are likely going to keep both mysqueezebox.com and LMS working. Nobody (probably not even Logitech) knows what will happen in mid 2014 when when the warranty period expires for the last Squeezeboxes sold by Logitech. My guess is that they will eventually shutdown mysqueezebox.com, but at that time most people who need access to internet radio provided only through mysqueezebox.com is likely going to use something else than a Squeezebox for music listening. Personally, I wouldn't buy UE Smart Radio at the moment, mainly because it doesn't have enough functionality for my usage scenario but also because I would first like to see that Logitech is really committed to maintain it actively. The fact that their UE Smart Radio iPhone app still looks like a half finished beta version is a bit worrying, currently it's kind of focused at people who ONLY listen to 10 different internet radio stations and for that kind of functionality the UE Smart Radio feels a bit expensive. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97353 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezenetwork
