I'd be surprised if most people will have discarded their hardware in
such a short space of time. I know may folks are profligate by nature
but there will be enough numbers of users who intend using their
Squeezebox for many years after that  date! I purchased mine with the
idea of retaining it for a considerable time ahead. I know the box, in
relative terms, is "cheap" but come on - why move on if it works
perfectly well (rhetorical question).

With regard to MySqeezebox's demise, I have seen several threads that
allude to a fix - one that bypasses the need for the former. One, I
remember, suggested using some webspace, provided by one's ISP. Is there
an easier solution? Or come to that, is there a preferred solution? Are
there any good threads which highlight such a thing? It would be nice if
there was a sticky that gave some definitive fixes.
