     You can do this now.

     First select "Show All".  This will unpaginate your folder,
     and display all messages in one long list.  THEN select
     "Toggle All" followed by marking selected messages as "Read".

     Yes, it's more than one button, but it's not that difficult,
     and doesn't require a custom plugin.

     This seems a bit much to me... if you're really having a difficult
     time scrolling down to the Spam folder, rename the Spam folder
     something that will assure that it appears right below your default
     folders.  Experiment with symbols allowed by your IMAP server.
     Prepend your most used folders with symbols that will assure their
     place at the top of the list.

     Our real estate for buttons is pretty crowded already, and until
     or unless we write a spam-predicting plugin like what you're using
     to the core, it seems excessive to add a "Mark as Spam" feature.

     Once we do, however, I'm right there with ya.  ;)
