ssh hangs on one tty

I have ssh 3.0 installed on AIX 4.1.5.  

Everything worked fine until yesterday.

Now, when a user logs on and 'hits' ttyp2, the shell
will not accept any input.  All other ttyps work
fine.

Anybody run into this?
