ah, were it only so.

in prioritizing the work that needs to be done, we are first trying to get the track usable for the national summer steamup (http://www.summersteamup.com/) in sacramento, july 22-25. up until a few months ago, the paso robles track was stored underneath someone's house ... it needs lots of different things done to it and we've only just begun.

suffice it to say, the project turned out to be a lot more work than we had anticipated.

we were able to buy a trailer -- it's a big one -- and our goal is to build carts that will transport not only the paso robles track but also the pcls track. before the paso robles track came on the market, we were going to build carts for the pcls track this spring; instead we're working on the paso robles track.

once we have a cart system together, we'll be hauling the tracks around for more use than just four days every summer.

Our club had to scrap our portable aluminum track system because of
transportation damage that always occurred to track. I noticed, with envy,
the Portland O Gaugers club uses a trailer with racks to prevent modules
from contacting each other. Does the Paso Robles Track have a
transportation system that minimizes damage?

| Gentlemen,
| Heads Up Work Party assistance required.
| Phase 3 for reworking the Paso Robles Track to running condition is
| lifting, adjusting and aligning all the section track ends, replacing some
| kinked rails, fitting rail joiners, replacing end section ties etc. This
is
| not a job which can wait till Wednesday at McClennan.
| Talking to Tom King this pm, we agreed to schedule this for next
| Saturday June 12th. Subject to Gary receiving the balance of rail joiners
| early next week.(Monday).
| We also need to check the balance of the loaded trailer and may need
| to re-arrange some of the load layout.
| Please advise availability and intentions to assist.
| Thank You,
| Regards,
