It is an ok graphics card for the Mac, and should work fine in you 
SM.   It should be placed, like all graphics cards, in one of the 2 
slots closest to the motherboard.   The issues with the card is that 
it does not support QuickTime nor Rave as well as a ATI video card 
will.
