Hi I use the ultimate Rez card on my Max and it works great, but it must
be in either the first or second slot to work. I bought a Metabox G3
accelerator also and found out like so many others that there was an
interference fit with the video card. Some users were successful
"bending" the video card to get it to fit. I know from experience that
this will result in a latent failure because the solder joints on the
video card are constantly under stress and will fracture over time. I
arranged with Metabox to return the card for credit. When the credit
wasn't forthcoming after a reasonable time I called and we went back and
forth until I asked them to just return the card so I could sell it on
eBay. That didn't happen either and they don't return my e mails. I
reported them to the TX better business bureau and write it off as a bad
business deal. I'm using a Newer 300 mhz card with my ultimate Rez video
card and am very happy with the combination. I think your best bet would
be to explore getting another video card that will physically fit in
slot 1 or 2. I read where Metabox is getting out of the upgrade business
and that's why so many are available at the low price. They are a good
card and worked fine in my Max but it was just the combination that was
no good.

I hope this helps, John Willett
