This is a recommendation only, not an absolute rule. If the video
card works, and the SM is not locking up, you can leave it as is.
However, you will take a performance hit (does anyone know how much?)
for card placed in the upper 3 slots because all of their PCI I/O
must be passed through the PCI bridge chip.

ASP wont report on any cards in the upper 3 slots of the 5 slot PCI
SM computers. It is not programmed to scan the PCI bus beyond the
PCI bridge. The Rage II being reported is your built-in video. The
video chip is actually on the motherboard along with a slot for the
VRAM. IIRC, the VRAM slot is at the very bottom of the motherboard
when the case is upright.

IMHO, the UltimateRez card is no better or worse than the ATI Rage
II+ that is built into the SM computers. You also might be fighting
the limitation of going across the PCI bridge chip.
