I had deleted the previous notes accidentally, so I'm
not sure if this is the right one, but someone replied
back to a note suggesting to plug the computer into a
live socket and then hold a reset button on the
motherboard down for 10 seconds to get the computer
going again.
Folks : You really shouldn't be touching a live
powered device with the cover off unless you are
really qualified and have the right protective
equipment. Some professionals have to do this. We
shouldn't. Granted, the board is low voltage, but
there are a lot of assumptions there about shorts and
grounding . It's really not a safe practice. If you
really have to do this, maybe you should think about
buying a new computer. Apple could use the money.
