I just installed a Sony CRX140E IDE CDRW 8x 4x 32x in my 4000/
Metabox 320Mhz G3/ 128MB RAM (240 with Ram Doubler)/ OS 8.6. Every so
often I am getting a flag telling me the CDRW can't read a drive, and
it asks me to eject or initialize, but this is only happening when
there is NO CD in the drive.
Other than this the drive works wonderfully, it's even bootable, this
is happening using Apples CD/DVD Driver. Has anybody ever seen
anything like this before? Any suggestions as to what may be
happening, and what I can do about it?
