I had a bad Ram experience in my PC. It caused misbehavior followed by
crashing followed by inoperability. And this was Kingston Ram, not
generic--we would never have found out what it was except for it having been
involved in the only thing we'd done inside the box. So even name brand Ram
can fail.
Incidentally, Kingston gives a lifetime guarantee, so they replaced it.
