The ATA-100 drive should work with the same issue, you must use an 
ATA-66 rated IDE cable to connect the drive to the SM to have the 
computer boot.   The drives are actually limited by the speed of the 
SM's IDE bus.   FWIW, I have had real good luck with Maxtor drives in 
the SM.
