I am using a Starmax 4200 with a Newer 300 meg upgrade card under OS 9.1. I have an ATI video card and a Keyspan serial port card. The latter gives me 2 more serial ports. I now want to add a USB/Firewire card. I purchased a Sonnet Tango USB/Firewire card and installed it in the 2nd slot closest to the mother board. It worked, but causes crashes. I then installed it in the 4th slot from the mother board. It still causes crashes and causes the video to flicker! The video card is in the 3rd slot because it worked best in that slot since installing it 2 years ago.
Has anyone on this List had success with USB/Firwire cards? And, if so, do you have a G3 upgrade? How about video card? I would love to get some more use out of this old work horse. Thanks...
