The one big problem with the SM computers, is that when the battery 
goes dead, the machine just won't start.   You need to purchase a 
Raovac 840 or 844 or equivalent battery and replace the one you 
currently have.   For the 3000's, a really good site with PRAM 
replacement instructions is <http://people.musc.edu/~schwarda/>. 
Also, remember to press the CUDA button after you have replaced the 
battery.
