My 'Max sees the USB CD-RW (through a PCI card and USB hub) and correctly identifies it. But when I go to write the disk, even an itsy-bitsy 5 mb file, it takes FOREVER! I never actually get the "ping" that the disk is done. Ultimately, I abort the process after an hour or so. What am I doing wrong, or should I just be like hours worth of patient?
It's a Digital Pacific drive and works fine on our 400 mhz Powerbook. The Starmax is upgraded with a Joe card to 300 Mhz. nan -- StarMax is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> StarMax list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/starmax.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/starmax%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
