I have a 8424 sz Yamaha burner drive and a Apple bootable (Matsushita)
cdrom drive. ( both scsi).
CDs burnt in the Yamaha WILL NOT mount in the cdrom.
Also the Yamaha IS NOT bootable.

If you get a Apple bootable cdrom then you will not be so limited to
the cdrom driver.
