Just a thought - are you using regular CD-R media, or CD-RW? This is because
neither my StarMax nor my 486 can read CD-RW discs (don't think the latter
likes CD-Rs either). My StarMax (Matshita CD-ROM) copes just fine with CD-Rs
burnt under another machine with an older IDE Yamaha burner, and, for that
matter, any CD-Rs in general it seems.
