Since your yahoo address is not subscribed to the list, I will not use
it. The listserver will reject it. This list is a closed list, only
subscribers can post. (At least that was my impression when I signed
up.)
Just to clarify a bit though, it was not so much for testing as it is
for demonstration, namely it is not all that hard to make a post that
looks like it came from someone else. Since the listserver strips much
of the "evidence" from the original e-mail, this is not hard to do. The
posted message should look virtually indistinguishable from one of
yours. Now the e-mail I actually send to the listserver will contain
enough evidence to show that it was not sent from you. But since the
listerver strips it off before relaying it on, we will not see it. I
will also cc myself so we can all see what the original headers were.
In that case there are tracks left behind that would show that the
message did not originate with you.
