Low system memory and the launcher can't be used? I think its some kind of file corruption, but it seems to creep back no matter what I have tried. Somebody will pop up with the full complete answer, but I remember something about trashing finder and something else pref files. I'm lazy and just reboot and try again. I don't think VM is an issue. Defragging the hard drive is always wise. Rebuilding desktop (use the techtool free lite version to do this) is a good idea after troubles too. -- StarMax is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> StarMax list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/starmax.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:starmax@;mail.maclaunch.com> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:starmax-off@;mail.maclaunch.com> For digest mode, email: <mailto:starmax-digest@;mail.maclaunch.com> Subscription questions: <mailto:listmom@;lowendmac.com> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/starmax%40mail.maclaunch.com/> --------------------------------------------------------------- >The Think Different Store http://www.ThinkDifferentStore.com ---------------------------------------------------------------
