Find someone with internet access, preferrably DSL or better and go to 
Apple's website (see the link directly emailed to you) and download 
8.6.  If you have a functional Mac, you can create a bootable disk with 
this software. If you're lucky enough to have a library running a Mac, 
you can do it there.  If not, find your nearest MUG...
