Hi, David........ Thanks for the tip. Apparently I solved it last evening (so far at least) by changing the cards much as you recommend above. Orig config that didn't work (freezes): 1} NIC card for internet access (closest to motherboard) 2] ATA Card for CDRW and HD 3] Display Card for my 19" fixed resolution monitor 4] new USB Card 5] open slot First modified config that didn't work (freezes): 1} NIC card for internet access (closest to motherboard) 2] ATA Card for CDRW and HD 3] new USB Card 4] Display Card for my 19" fixed resolution monitor 5] open slot Second modified config which apparently works OK: 1} new USB Card (closest to motherboard) 2] NIC card for internet access 3] ATA Card for CDRW and HD 4] Display Card for my 19" fixed resolution monitor 5] open slot Initial testing indicates all peripherals are working OK as is - including the ixMicro Display card which surprises me. I know a lot of folks have had trouble getting display cards to work in any slot other than #1 and #2, and mine's running in slot #4. I don't feel that this working config is the ideal config. However I'm reluctant to go back into it to see if the USB card would work in slot 2. I'll watch it for a week or so, and report back if I run into any further difficulties. Regards..........
