I am thinking of getting an ipod. The literature says computer must have original firewire and OS 9.2. Does anyone have an ipod working ion their
No clue on the Ipod specifically, it was too expensive, so I never really dug that deep into its details. Instead we bought a Archos 20GB, and run open source software on it called Rockbox. For Xmas I am giving my wife an upgrade to a 80 GB drive for it, and the total is still less than the current ipod price. The Archos has neat special music software, but it also just shows up when you plug it into a computer as a normal (USB 2.0) connected hard drive, and has no restrictions on what you can up or download from it, some others brands can only be accessed through special software, and don't allow copyright material (that has some protection bit set) to be uploaded, and may even not allow digital downloading from it at all. Shop before you buy.
