Option 2 is better for any new community(imho), twitter just allows you to
register without verifying email.
I want that "Just save users' email addresses, without any step to check if
they're valid" .
Main reason, as I stated in my earlier post; most of them are new to
micro-blog. So I need to say 'hi to them" and when they receive this in
their email in-box. They will come back and I can guide them through, on
how to be active members.

Right now they don't bother to click the verify link, in their email inbox (
only 1 out of 6 does). This means even if I say hi to them on the blog, it
does not arrive at their email inbox.
Thanks
Tim
