When I bought the Pace Solo and ST-Fax, I found that incoming faxes were
>>squashed<< vertically by 50%. That was ver.3.6. Chris Wiles said (I think
it was Chris) that the problem was that some faxes were "fine" resolution and
others weren't. I never quite grasped the problem. How did ordinary fax
machines not do the same thing if the prob was unpredictable incoming
resolutions? Still, Chris seemed to know what he meant (if it was Chris).
He also told me that this prob would be dealt with in 3.8. So I didn't need
to understand it (I thought).
Well, now that I have 3.8 sort-of working again, I can at last see whether the
squashed faxes are no longer squashed vertically.
They are _still_ squashed vertically by 50%.
This is a real pain. Chris, did you forget to fix it, because you obviously
know how to fix it?
If it was not you who told me about how it would be solved, then I am most
sincerely sorry. But who, erm, was it?
And can someone please fix the squash for us?
