Reading some descriptions why our Web-Service uses
TIFF files for converting fax files to image files.

No.
The TIFF format directly supports multiple pages (images)
in one file via it's data structure, so it's not up to
the programmer to find an appropriate solution when
keeping track to the specs.

No, not right.
Regarding Adobe's documentation of the TIFF file format
the Huffmann compression belongs to the standard TIFF
specification, and there exist several extensions,
also defined in the specs, the LZW compression,
the JPEG compression, and the CCITT encoding,
and several more.

Are you sure this works?
