I make a sort research about that and may be you've right. With LZW
compression (I think) is like our LZX LHA compression, when reading the file
decompressed on fly, or I'm wrong ? The bottom line is that the size of TIFF
file is VERY LARGE in bytes e.g 13x18 picture is 9 MB in TIFF, it's about 2 MB
in JPG format. So may be both has a compression but the TIFF's algorithm
it seems that has lossless compression than JPG's.

I'd using this way 6 years now to convert ILBM<->TIFF format pictures
for Photo Print work. Any way you can try for your self to find it out :-).
