Anyway, for STFax, you should check the "Quiet modem" option among the prefs
(Modem... or misc... I don't recall :)

set it to the size you want, then click on the MUI snapshot gadget in the

You need something like:
MENU (where the message says 'press one to... etc...')
1. RECORD MSG
2. CALL OPERATOR
3. RECEIVE FAX
Then set Mode to FAX/VOICE in Prefs/Misc: if someone tries to send you
a fax, STFax will answer in voice modem, start playing the menu message,
then after the modem recognises it's a fax it'll switch to fax mode and
it will receive it.

then it means your 4.0 copy is not the original one, or it has been modified.
Have you packed it with something like PowerPacker, by chance?

Never used it, no idea.

Being a Supra modem it could support it. The only way to know,
apart from reading its manual, is to enable Silent Answer in
STFax, set Mode to FAX ONLY and try. STFax should detect rings
only for incoming faxes (as the modem won't report RING's for
voice calls when Silent Answer is active)
