Don't forget that many laptops now come with winmodems - not the real thing
- so you need to allow for a PCMCIA FaxModem as well.

I've been using Hail Storm and Corel 1.2  on a couple of Compaqs - an old
Armada 1750 and new M700 without any hitch at all - other than sound!!!!
