OK... odd.. I remember seeing a message about the possibility of HOSING my
system, but I did not see anything telling me that I'd be making a backup
etc.. I'll try it again.. should I just re-run apt-get update and apt-get
upgrade?

Also, thanks for the info on how to upgrade an individual package...
