Get a soundblaster card :-) In all seriousness, it may be that the module
wasn't compiled for the kernel that shipped with Storm. You may need to
recompile your kernel with the Yamaha as a module so that SAS can find it.

You can use Alsa. Just follow the instructions on the Alsa web site. I
believe that ALSA will eventually replace much of the sound code in the
kernel. For now, you don't need to change your kernel just do what Alsa
tells you.
