First of all, I don't think this is necessarily a "Storm vs. Progeny"
thing. I don't see any competition here. I see people who use
Storm looking for answers and some help getting where they want
to go by asking a group of people they (and I) trust a GREAT deal.
This is the best list I know of. Hands down!
I haven't switched from Storm. I am testing Progeny on another
machine because I am an 'official beta tester' but Storm is here to
stay on my main box.
When a few people asked questions about Progeny and how to do
the 'upgrade', I gave them the answer I came up with because, like
most people around here, I trust this group to give straighforward,
honest answers. Sure, it involved moving, perhaps, to another
distro. But I'm not so defensive of Storm, though, as to not answer
someone's questions about Progeny. Why not? Most of those will
likely come back to Storm.
By all means, use the progeny list. It'll help if you want to make
the move over there. For Storm related Qs, stick around here. For
those in between, why can't we help as well as the progeny list?
Most of us will likely stick with Storm but to me, the bigger picture
is that we stick with Debian and, bigger yet, Linux.
My 2 cents.
What if everything is an illusion and nothing exists?
In that case, I definitely overpaid for my carpet.
