First of all, don't use the version number.
Second, is it available? Perhaps the lib you're looking for is only
in, say, the woody tree and your sources.list contains ftp sites only
for potato or "stable". There is a great bit of information at the
website linuxnewbie.org... here's a "Newbie Help FIle" on using apt-
get.
