Thanks for the description of the circular wood stove.

Do you have a good idea what size the wood had to be?  Paul A and I burned a
number of really small can-type stoves in Ezulwini Valley one day and when
the fuel was whole wood (not pellets or chips) it was possible to refuel the
stove by putting pieces into the fire and shoving the charcoal aside. 

As long as the primary air was choke, it burned properly. I am wondering if
the stove gets big enough (in diameter) it would work as a gasifier with
regular sized wood, and even be refuellable.

It seems many of the micro-gasifiers are basically shaped around the fuel,
not that it is impossible to use (much) larger fuel pieces.
